Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Begin by asking yourself what you love about yourself:
- Recent accomplishments and/or current goals and hobbies
- How you show your love and support for yourself, your friends, and your family
- Things you like about your physical appearance and/or physical capabilities
STEP 2: Use your responses to the questions to create a 30 second “personal appreciation speech”. The purpose of this is to compile some of your favorite qualities about yourself so you can practice self-love in the midst of your busy day or when you are feeling down.
STEP 3: Practice your personal appreciation speech out loud to trusted friends, family members, or others who can give helpful feedback and support you. Revisit your speech from time to time to make adjustments as needed.
