STEP 1: Identify a group of people who might be interested in forming a peer group with you. In a meeting or an email, introduce the “Peer Thought” process for members.
STEP 2: Group members perform a “Peer Thought” with each other once a week to ask their colleagues to provide their thoughts and opinions to:
- Think through an issue
- Bounce off an idea
- Provide their expertise on an issue
STEP 3: In regularly scheduled group meetings, review members’ “Peer Thought” actions. Use the following questions to help facilitate the discussion:
- What “Peer Thought” actions did team members perform?
- What impact did these actions create?
- Does this process create value for individuals and the team?
- What actions do we need to do more of, less of, or differently in order to increase the impact this process creates for individuals and the team?
