Time: 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Set a time for your daily walk, put it on your calendar and/or make it a “ritual time” that your fur babies and you will come to love.
STEP 2: Load up and go – as you leave your home, look around and consider what you are grateful for by saying one of the following, “What a beautiful day it is” or “Let’s go on our Grateful Walk”.
STEP 3: Potential Kickoff statements: As you are walking put it out to God/the Universe and to your fur baby(s) how fortunate you are to have this time together, or how glad to have this time with you to walk, how fortunate we are to have healthy bodies, etc.
STEP 4: Think about positive statements every day to share aloud and reinforce when you walk – “Thank you for our health,” “our time together,” “our family,” then let it flow to create positive energy in you and your pet’s life.
STEP 5: Observe nature and/or parks within your neighborhood…stay present, try not to let your mind wander, use this as a walking meditation and remember to breathe deeply.
