New Yoga Class

PURPOSE: If you ever took a yoga class that you didn’t like… KEEP TRYING. There are SO many class variations that everyone can find one that they will enjoy – no matter your goal.

Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour

STEP 1: Look for yoga classes near your area. Read up on the types of classes they have. If you’re a fast-paced person try a slower paced yoga class to balance your yin/yang a bit. If you move at a more methodical pace then a more vigorous class may be what you need. If you have joint issues, are pregnant, or need to stretch there are classes for you as well.

STEP 2: Invite a friend to go. It’s always fun to try a new class with someone, so you two can laugh together as you practice new poses.

STEP 3: Go with an open mind and recognize that everyone in the room is at a different level. Don’t compare yourself with others; just push yourself to your edge wherever that may be.

STEP 4: Let your yoga teacher know that it is your first time in a class like this so they can watch you or lightly adjust your pose to make sure you get the most benefit from it.

STEP 5: Go at your own pace. If you need extra water, an extra break, or simply to stay in child’s pose awhile, THAT’S OKAY! Appreciate that you are there, attending the class, and recognize where you are in your journey. Namaste.
