Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Think about which friends would enjoy working out with you. If your friends don’t live close by, post something on social media to see if people who live close to you would like to participate.
STEP 2: Reach out to them to talk about the event/routine that you’d like to do and share your goal. They may have a similar goal which motivates them to say yes.
STEP 3: Once you get a yes, determine when and where and schedule it on each of your calendars.
STEP 4: Text them the night before or morning of, to let them know that you are excited about exercising with them.
STEP 5: Enjoy your event/hike/session/etc. Thank them for coming with you and schedule the next time.
Here’s a thought…If you have a friend who lives far away, you can provide each other with accountability by texting each other every time you exercise, and encouraging (or challenging) the other to do the same… whoever works out most during the month gets a small reward from the other…even if its bragging rights!
