Time: 1 day a week
STEP 1: Ask what will challenge you and make you rise to the occasion? CrossFit? Karate? A marathon or half-marathon? Triathlon? Kick boxing? Yoga retreat? Dance class? Consider picking an old sport/fitness activity you used to enjoy but has fallen by the wayside. Consider what will get you out of your comfort zone and stretch you in a new way—both mentally and physically.
STEP 2: Once you determine which fitness adventure you’ll embark on, look for a team, support group, or someone who has done it before so you can start training with them or get some tips. Based on your fitness level, you may need to do some prep beforehand—but remember, it’s all part of the adventure. Enjoy the moments within the Journey.
STEP 3: Spread your wings and begin the training process. Write down your accomplishments each day, share what you did, how it made you feel and what personal record you broke that day… Talk about empowering. It will be fun to see your progress throughout training.
STEP 4: Share your accomplishments with your friends, family and social media group. Not only will you receive kudos, you might encourage someone else to start breaking his or her personal records also.
