Time: 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Review the Individual SMART Objectives Worksheet and outline what you must deliver in the next year.
STEP 2: Do this on your own, with a friend or significant other, or your manager if this is for work:
- Determine if the objectives are the right ones based on your role (or your goal) and where you want to focus your efforts for growth. Some objectives may need to be modified or deleted, or you may want to add additional deliverables.
- Make sure the objectives meet the SMART criteria.
STEP 3: Finalize the plan to make sure it covers all the areas of interest and get started.
STEP 4: If for work, periodically touch base with your manager to provide a status update and make any necessary upgrades to reflect changing role, team or business priorities.
