SOLUTION:

Wallow Me

PURPOSE: Reflect on what you are feeling vs. what you WANT to be feeling. If you are tired of wallowing in misery, sadness, or feelings/behaviors that aren’t serving you or who you want to be, don’t invest in relationships that keep you stuck.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Ask yourself some tough questions like: Am I wallowing? Am I comfortable with those around me simply because I am spending time with others who are in the same rut, but they are not moving me forward?

STEP 2: Recognize who is a “Wallow Me” (someone who wants company in their misery, so they remind you and keep you stuck in yours or try to bring you into theirs, rather than moving you forward) in your circle. This could be a co-worker who brings their negativity to you each day, or it could be a spouse, friend, parent or child that is stuck.

STEP 3: Consider how they pull you in. Is it a daily call or a “drive by” your desk after lunch? Limit your time with the “Wallow Mes” and seek out those who will influence and support you in moving forward.
