Hot Seat  

PURPOSE: Create an environment of open communication with your team or your family. Take the “heat” from your team or family members to create an environment of open communication.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: In a meeting or team call, give your team/family members two minutes to develop three questions they want answered.

STEP 2: One at a time, each team/family member fires a question at you. You must respond within 30 seconds. Once you answer one question, move to the next employee or family member. Go around the room until all of the questions are answered.

Note: If you’d like, you can “pass” on a question and come back to it at the end of the Hot Seat session or tell the team you will get the answer after the session and share it with them at a later time.
