STEP 1: Put a reminder on your phone/calendar to have a specific day each week where you focus on praying for others and not yourself. Many times we get so bogged down in what we need or want, that we limit our prayers for others.
God/your spiritual leader will guide you in ways to help those you’re praying for so you can serve them, which in turn, will also grow your spiritual practice.
STEP 2: Write down those you will be praying for and pray for them during your dedicated time. Be specific about their requests and envision the requests as reality! Mark 11:24 NIV – Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
STEP 3: Whatever God/your spiritual leader leads you to do for that other person, schedule a time to do it within the next 5 days.
STEP 4: Let those you prayed for know when you prayed for them. Tell them specifically what you prayed for, so they will know who is praying and what is being prayed for on their behalf.
STEP 5: Ask them if they have additional prayer requests or some recent blessings that you can give thanks for.
