Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Determine what time of day will be most feasible for your walk and schedule it on your calendar.
STEP 2: Have walking shoes handy, so if you are going to walk at lunch during work, bring your shoes to work.
STEP 3: If you have a “Prayer list” (people or things that you want to pray for that you’ve written previously) OR Gratitude List, bring it with you. If you don’t, consider spending 3-5 minutes writing down what you’d like to pray/think about while on your walk on the Prayer/Gratitude Template. Doing so will provide additional clarity for you, make better use of your time, and will keep it in one spot for you to refer back to later.
STEP 4: Let those you prayed for know that you prayed for them. There is a difference between hearing, “I’ll pray for you.” and “I was taking a walk and I prayed for you specifically about/for…” It will mean the world to them.
STEP 5: If they ask how they can pray for you, give them something specific. Let them return the favor; we can all use prayers!
