PURPOSE:ย Build a collection of greeting cards you can give your team members when you want to say thank you, provide encouragement, say happy birthday, or celebrate successes.

Time: 30 Minutes

STEP 1:ย Purchase a variety of greeting cards in the following categories:

  • Thank you
  • Encouragement
  • Birthday
  • Get Well
  • Sympathy
  • Congratulations
  • Blank cards


STEP 2: Record the names of your team members on the Greeting Card Record.

STEP 3: Give your team members a card with a personal note when you want to say thank you, provide encouragement, say happy birthday, provide a get well wish, or celebrate successes. Each time you give a team member a greeting card, record the date on the โ€œGreeting Card Record.โ€ย 

STEP 4: Each quarter, review the โ€œGreeting Card Recordโ€ and determine if there are team members who you should give more or less cards to.

See if you can give each team member at least 1 card every quarter.

Note: Sending a card to your team membersโ€™ home adds a special touch.
